Graduate Researcher · Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics
Studying life at the
molecular scale.
I'm a graduate student investigating the structural and physical principles that govern how biological molecules function — and what happens when they don't.

About
Curiosity-driven science.
Hello,
My name is John Guardado, I am a graduate student in Biochemistry and Molecular
Biophysics (BMB) @ Caltech. My research sits at the intersection of structural
biology, biophysics, and computation — I'm drawn to questions about how molecular
structure gives rise to biological function.
Before graduate school, I graduated in 2023 from the Univeristy of San Francisco in Chemistry. Outside the lab, I enjoy playing rugby, reading, and mentoring.
I'm always happy to connect with fellow researchers, collaborators, or anyone curious about molecular biology.
